Bonjour,
j'ai un problème cette nuit, et c'est pas faute d'avoir cherché à le résoudre... (Mais bon... pasdoué koi...)
OpenOffice2.4 (writer / traitement de texte) se ferme tout seul...
(Alors j'en vois déjà qui doivent se demander comment peut-on avoir un soucis juste avec un logiciel de traitement de texte, mais... bon... (pasdoué...) Pourtant, jusqu'à là, il se tenait tranquille koi... Cette nuit, il a décidé de bouder, et ça a le don de me gonfler...)
je l'ouvre, il s'ouvre, je commence à y toucher, et là, 15 secondes après, il se ferme tout seul...
j'ai déjà redémarré mon ordi plusieurs fois (désinstallation, réinstallation) rien y fait...
Ne serait-ce que pour y faire un copier-coller, il ne le finit même pas... Il ferme koi...
Idem lorsque je l'ouvre et que j'attrappe la sauvegarde de ce qu'il a quand même pu retenir et que je veux l'enregistrer, il ne me termine même pas l'enregistrement...

Non ce n'est pas normal que le terminal se ferme quand tu lances openoffice (sur la ligne de commande du terminal nous sommes bien d'accord ?) Et plus étrange encore : tu n'as pas de fichier xsession-errors !!! Alors premier geste : redémarre ton ordinateur et relance openoffice. Ensuite dans la barre de menu va sur outils, et ouvres options,ensuite sélectionne mémoire vive, pour voir (c'est qu'en l'absence de message il est difficile de comprendre). Pour finir sache que moi je n'aime pas l'openoffice d'ubuntu alors j'ai installé wine et j'utilise la version pour windows (il existe même Go oo encore plus sympa). Bon courage !

Il arrive que Open office soit susceptible, ça m'est déjà arrivé quelques fois. Sachant que je l'utilise beaucoup dans le cadre de mon travail, ça en devenait pénible. Alors le temps qu'une mise à jour apparaisse je me suis tourné vers :

Sinon tu peux tenter d'installer open office à partir du site officiel, il existe des paquets différents (avec et sans java )...

Bonjour,
Le mieux serait que tu le lances depuis un terminal, de telle manière que tu puisses lire les messages d'erreurs, ou encore dans ton dossier personnel, ouvres le fichier caché xsessions-errors et indique-nous les détails. Il peut s'agir d'un problème de mémoire mal configurée.. à tout de suite, courage !

Mais c'est normal que le terminal se fasse la malle une fois que le logiciel est lancé...?
Et oui, le logiciel se lance, mais comme d'habitude...
Je fais 3fois rien, et zou, il se fiche le camps encore...
quand à XSESSIONS-ERRORS...
j'ai fait cherché, il a pas l'air ni la chanson de me le trouver...
Pourtant dans "affichage", je suis bien en "afficher les fichiers cachés"...
Ou alors, c'est moi qui ne comprend pas tout...

Je n'ai pas coché la case d'activation de démarrage rapide de la zone de notification (Ben, déjà parce que je ne sais pas ce qu'est encore une zone de notification, je ne dois pas la croiser tous les jours, et OpenOffice.org, même s'il beuguait jusqu'à là, s'ouvrait assez rapidement pour moi (2,5sec.)
Je suis assez STUPéFAIT, le temps que j'écrive le tout, ça n'a pas beugué... (et ça n'a pourtant pas été faute de l'avoir redémarré la machine... Entre la désinstallation et la réinstallation déjà...)
J'ai pas écrit de ligne dans le terminal moi même, dès qu'on m'a vu, on m'a dit : TOUCHE PAAAAAAAAAAs !!!!!
(J'ai pas touché...!!)
J'ai fait lancer avec un terminal, après, je connais pas assez... Pas encore du moins, pour me permettre de me prendre pour Superman...^^

Pour moi, c'est du chinois, mais bon...
Quand à xsession-errors, j'ai donc attrapé mon dossier perso, afficher les fichiers cachés, rechercher, carrément dans "système de fichiers", et il n'y est toujours pas... :-( ...
Mais, j'ai voulu faire un test, là, j'ai copier ce que m'affichait le terminal, je l'ai collé ici, mais aussi dans OOo, et il ne beugue toujours plu...
De temps en temps je sens qu'il doit y avoir de la vie dans certains des objets les plus bêtes... ^^

Pour conclure,
Si j'ai bien compris pour l'instant ça fonctionne. Bon ! As-tu retrouvé le fichier xsession-errors ? Car sinon il y a un gros problème ! Ce que M Squeak suggérait était un appel au noyau avec dmesg (pour les messages) , mais il a peut-être oublié que tu étais sous Ubuntu et qu'il faut taper: sudo dmesg, ensuite il faut que tu sois l'administrateur. Reste bien sûr que c'est la commande idéale pour comprendre ce qui se passe. Une zone de notification c'est ce que tu voies tous les jours au contraire, c'est tout simplement un icône dans la barre des tâches: tu cliques dessus et ton programme se lance très rapidement car il est déjà en partie en mémoire. Voilà, Bon dimanche !!

Quant au fichier xsession-errors, j'ai pris le lanceur, j'ai essayé en faisant "lancer dans un terminal" , Il m'affiche :

Impossible de trouver l'emplacement ou le fichier
Bon, je ne désespère pas..., il doit il y avoir une solution quelque part... :-D

Pour finir,

Ce passage est au combien subjectif... et source de longs débats :) Dans le cas présent je ne sais pas si reformater le tout sera bénéfique.
Mais j'ai lu une solution intéressante concernant le système de fichier :
/ en ReiserFS
/home en Ext3
La raison est que ReiserFS en cas de plantage de l'OS, coupure de courant, redémarrage brusque donne plus de chances à l'utilisateur de retrouver un système fonctionnel (alors qu'avec Ext3... Aïe... )
Et la partition home en Ext3 c'est pour la compatibilité Ext2/Ext3 et la future Ext4, le fait que le ExtX soit lisible depuis WIndows grâce à un driver ( je vous le retrouve si quelqu'un est intéressé, mais là je j'ai pas en tête), Puis dans le cas de l'évolution Ext3 à Ext4 pas besoin de reformater à la différence de ReiserFS.
Voili voilou... mais on s'égare j'imagine ^_^
Et sinon pour afficher les fichiers cachés alors c'est Ctrl+H

Je crois que si ReiserFS est plus rapide cela tient au choix de la structure de l'arbre dans la recherche des fichiers. Car bien entendu dans ce domaine c'est l'algo qui compte. Concrètement j'ai pratiqué les deux et je peux affirmer que sous Ubuntu hardy , la question ne se pose même pas. Sous Debian etch c'est moins prononcé et pour tout dire peut-être égal. A propos des fichiers inutiles je tiens à disposition une liste étonnante de fichiers installés par défaut sans qu'on le sache, un exemple ? brltty , brltty-x11 etc , vous connaissez ? C'est un logiciel pour le braille ??!! Je suis d'accord , c'est subjectif ..m'enfin il y en a des dizaines , si encore ils apparaissaient dans le menu d'applications , mais non.. Pour finir dmesg sert , sauf erreur, pour les messages du démarrage.

J'avoue que je n'ai jamais expérimenté ReiserFS, mes seules connaissances dessus étant ce que j'ai bien pu lire à son sujet.
Je prends note de toutes tes observations, elles corroborent pas mal d'observations d'autres utilisateurs. Les seuls points noirs au tableau que j'ai pu trouver au sujet de ReiserFS étant que visiblement il n'est pas conseillé pour les ordinateurs portables ( mon cas ) et qu'obligé de reformater en cas de mise à jour du système de fichier :
"Développé par Hans Reiser et la société Namesys, ReiserFS est reconnu particulièrement pour bien gérer les fichiers de moins de 4 ko. Un avantage du ReiserFS, par rapport à ext3, est qu'il ne nécessite pas une hiérarchisation aussi poussée: il s'avère intéressant pour le stockage de plusieurs fichiers temporaires provenant d'Internet. Par contre, ReiserFS n'est pas recommandé pour les ordinateurs portables, car le disque dur tourne en permanence, ce qui consomme beaucoup d'énergie."

Donc selon toi le problème pourrait venir d'une erreur lié au système de fichier EXT3 ? Même s'il y a eu une résintallation du logiciel ?

Je tiens à remercier tous ceux qui ont répondu à mon sujet...
(J'avais laissé le sujet sans moi pendant quelques temps, pour des raisons personnelles et + ou - familliales)
Au passage, mon open office remarche très bien, j'ai juste re-voulu essayer .xsession-errors, j'ai attrappé un lanceur, j'ai fait lancer dans un terminal, et là, s'est mis à s'ouvrir un terminal, mais, à écritures noires sur un fond blanc, d'habitude, c'est l'inverse, et il est bien entendu rempli, à ras-la-gu*le... (un jour, je serais un bon malade, et moi aussi peut-être je saurais déchiffrer tout ça... ^^)
Ce qui va peut-être m'inquiéter un peu plus à présent, c'est qu'il y a beaucoup de lignes qui se finissent par "failed"...
C'est mauvais signe ça vous pensez...? alors qu'il remarche bien... (il pique un caprice de temps en temps peut-être juste ^^)

Bonjour !! meme probleme j'ai un serveur LTSP sous debian et quand un client essaye d'ouvrir certain fichier avec openoffice, ce dernier se ferme tout seul au bout de 5 secondes !! quelqu'un aurai une idee ? merci bcp !! mon serveur est a jour et openoffice est la version 2.4 !! merci d'avance

t'as probablement attrape un virus. oui, ca arrive sous Linux.
ca m'est arrive:
1- un pop-up sur le bureau en flamand (mais comme je parle allemand et anglais, j'ai compile) m'annocant que OpenOffice etait contamine. FAUX: il avait contamine Firefox!
2- un site bresilien m'annonce qu'il va fermer ma connexion, pour "activites anormales", oui, je parle bresilien,
3 - sous Mandriva (machine Linux Xandros), imp.free.fr me refuse la connexion a mon compte (leur firewall a du me bloquer),
4- je fais un virus scan avec l'antivirus de Xandros: RAS
5- je bascule sous Xandros et ... imp free me refuse l'acces.
Alors la, j'ai un serieux doute: qqun a pris mon PC comme esclave pour des cyberattacks!
Je cherche et elimine firefox sur tous mes 4 medias.
Un F9 au boot sur EeePC/Linux "restore factory settings" , konkeror sous Mandriva, c'est regle!
