[Gimp 2.2.11] Installation boquée ?

Bonjour,

Etant sous Linux Mandriva 2006, j'ai supprimé la version 2.2.8 de Gimp inclue dans cette distribution.


J'ai décompressé dans

J'ai lu la doc d'installation:

Plus récente que la version demandé pour Gimp

si tu ne maîtrise bien l'installation depuis les sources je crois que c'est mieux d'écouter Miss mamiemando, c'est-à-dire d'installer en utilisant le gestionnaire de paquetages (dans le cas de Mandriva - urpmi et voir aussi easyurpmi).

Si tu veux te casser un peu la tête avec les source pour comprendre commentcamarche, lit la documentation que tu trouves dans les sources et aussi sur net et démarre l'aventure.

si oui, où l'installer ?

D'habitude j'utilise /usr/local/src pour détarrer les tarballs
Pour l'installation, je regarde dans ./configure --help
(s'il existe bien sûr) pour voir si la destination par défaut me convient - en général oui, c'est /usr/local sinon on a les options dans le script .configure --prefix=PREFIX

Ce n'est pas une régle générale. Il faut toujours lire avant de commencer.

Ecoute Miss et ne te casse pas la tête si le seul but c'est d'avoir gimp installé.

P.S. Pour ce qui tient de glib-2.4.8 tu n'as qu'à essayer.
Comme ça tu pourras donner l'info pour une future question.
Il faut partager aussi tes expériences sous Linux.

Effectivement je souhaites comprendre et gérer les données et système de Linux, pour me changer de Windows.

Mieux vaut prendre les bon reflexe (pour une excellente utilisation de Debian et Mandriva )

Faut-il installer Glib dans /usr/local/glib ou dans un autre endroit.
Pour info Gimp est placé dans le répertoire /usr/local/gimp_2.2.11.
