J'ai récemment installé Ubuntu sur mon PC, j'en suis pour le moment content bien que plutôt habitué à Fedora jusqu'alors.

Le problème est que X me propose que 3 résolutions 640x480, 800x600 et 1024x768. J'ai un écran plat 17 pouces, dont la résolution normale est 1152x864. Je trouve que 1024x768 ne convient pas donc j'ai voulu changer.

J'ai essayé de simplement rajouter "1152x864" dans xorg.conf, ce qui n'a strictement rien changé.

J'ai ensuite essayé un dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg, qui s'est executé jusqu'au bout, j'ai pu choisir d'ajouter 1152x864 dans la liste. Au redémarrage, plus d'interface graphique, impossible de démarrer X. Résultat j'ai du remettre l'ancien fichier de configuration, ce qui ne résout pas tellement le problème...

Le driver de la carte graphique (GeForce 2) est installé et utilisé par X.
