This article provides information on the possible reason why a MOM.implementation or CCC.implementation error message may appear and how to troubleshoot the issue to allow the system to operate effectively

Issue Description:
A MOM.implementation or CCC.implementation error message may appear when starting, installing, updating or uninstalling the ATI Catalyst(TM) software. The error message states:

    Could not load file or assembly 'CLI.Implementation, Version 2.0.3595.17816, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=90ba9c70f846762e' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified

Technical Details:
This error is a result of improper installation of the ATI Catalyst software and / or the Microsoft .NET Framework . If the Microsoft .NET Framework is not able to locate an assembly at run time, it can cause an incorrect location to be used, an invalid native image to show or version number mismatch. Refer to the Fuslogvw.exe (Assembly Binding Log Viewer) article on Microsoft website for additional information

Recommendations:
To prevent the error message from appearing, AMD Customer Care recommends performing a clean install of the ATI Catalyst software and the Microsoft .NET framework. Follow the steps below in order to successfully install the ATI Catalyst software:

   1.
      Note! Before getting started, ensure that you know the model of your graphics card. It will come in handy for several steps in the process. Refer to Article GPU-55 for information on how to identify your graphics card
   2.
      Verify that the graphics card is compatible with the motherboard. Refer to the motherboard manual to determine compatibility
   3.
      Verify that the graphics card's requirements are met by the system. Refer to AMD's Products and Technologies page to determine the system requirements for your graphics card
   4.
      Verify that the operating system has the latest service packs / updates
   5.
      Download the latest drivers for the graphics card from AMD's Graphics Drivers & Software page. Refer to Article GPU-56 for information on how to use the graphics driver utility
   6.
      Remove any pre-existing drivers / software for the graphics card. Refer to Article GPU-57 for detailed instructions on how to uninstall old drivers
         1.
            If unable to successfully uninstall the ATI Catalyst software using the uninstall feature provided with the software, the following third party utilities may help:
               1.
                  DriverCleaner Pro v1.5 (freeware) for 32bit operating systems and
               2.
                  DriverSweeper (freeware) for 64bit operating systems
               3.
                  Note! The third party utilities are provided as is and is not supported by AMD. It has not completed any AMD testing, and is only recommended for users experiencing the particular issue
   7.
      Uninstall all versions of the Microsoft .NET Framework
         1.
            If unable to successfully uninstall the .Net Framework using the Microsoft's uninstall utility, the following third party utility may help: http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2006/05/30/611355.aspx
         2.
            Note! The third party utility is provided as is and is not supported by AMD. It has not completed any AMD testing, and is only recommended for users experiencing the particular issue
   8.
      Install the latest drivers for the graphics card and .NET Framework. For detailed instructions on how to install the latest graphics drivers, refer to:
         1.
            Article GPU-33 for a Windows 7 based system
               1.
                  Note! The .NET Framework software is an integral component of Windows® 7 and does not require independent installation
         2.
            Article GPU-1 for a Windows Vista based system
               1.
                  Note! The .NET Framework software is an integral component of Windows Vista® and does not require independent installation 
         3.
            Article GPU-2 for a Windows XP / Windows 2000 based system
               1.
                  Note! For Windows XP, the .NET Framework must be installed separately.  Refer to the Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (Web Installer) page on Microsoft's website for more information and/or to obtain the latest .NET framework software
