Bonjour,
Puisque ton PC dit : INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER
Q: Almost every time I turned on the PC, I got "BIOS ROM Checksum error" message.
A:This error message usually indicates that the Award BIOS chip on the motherboard is defective, or one of the hardware components has a problem. To troubleshoot the problem, remove all PCI, ISA, AGP expansion cards (sound card, modem, network card, etc.) and reseat them, making sure they are firmly in the slots. Remove and reseat the memory modules. Put a bootable floppy disk in the floppy drive, start the computer and test for the checksum error. Be sure to remove the AC cord from the power supply before working inside the case. If still getting the error message, remove all expansion cards except the video card and test again. If no error message after several startups, replace one expansion card and test for the error. Test for the error message with each expansion card. Test the system with a known, good video card. If you are still getting the error after checking all cards, the BIOS chip probably needs to be replaced. But it would be better to replace the motherboard, as it may be defective.
