Hello,

Dear Customer,
Please follow these steps for adding a printer.
Setting up Windows 2000/XP TCP/IP Printing
Following is the correct procedure for setting up TCP/IP LPR printing under Windows 2000 / XP.
-Click Start > Settings > Printers.
-Double Click “Add Printer”
-Select “Local Printer”. Do not check, “Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer.” Click “Next”.
-Select “Create a new port”. Choose “Standard TCP/IP Port” and click “Next”.
-Input the IP Address of the Print Server, and the port name for identification, then click “Next”.
-Select “Custom”, and click “Settings”.
-Select “LPR”, and put the Port name in the field labeled “Queue Name”. For the TEW-PS1U the queue name will be the port name on the print server. You can check this using the PS Admin software by going to Server Device and click on the port..
-Then Click “OK”.
-Click “Next”.
-Click “Finish”
The Printer Install Wizard will now prompt for drivers. Select the correct
Make and Model, or click “Have Disk”, to provide the Manufacturer’s
Driver Disk.

Subject: Printing problem with a TEW-P1U
Hello,
A few weeks ago, I bought a wireless TEW-P1U print server.
Wireless setup was fine and I got no problem to install the printer neither on my W98 computer nor on my XP notebook.
However, since that point I was never able to get a reliable printing...
Usually, I succeed to write one page but never more than 2...
It works like if the print server was sending its buffer to the printer whatever the printer status...
It provoks invalid and the printer returns a PCL-6 error status.
I tried a lot of setting (I played with all possible parameters) without any success.
My printer is a SAMSUNG ML-4600 and supports bi-directional communications.
I have no problem with a direct USB connection and no trouble between my other wireless equipments.
Do you have any suggestion ?
Is a new firmware planned soon ?
Best Regards,
Dominique.
Thank you for choosing Trendware.
